May Sewing Day

Mad and Cat had a day of sewing today. They took a break for lunch and made a run to Pastimes Quilt Shop.

Cat finished the mystery quilt she made at Pastimes Quilt Shop's Fall 2009 Quilt Away. The quilt will be a Christmas gift for some luck person.

Mad worked on two hexagon table toppers. These patriotic toppers can be used for Memorial Day, Flag Day and July 4.

Block of the Month

Many quilt shops offer a variety of Block of the Month clubs. Past Times quilt shop in Browns Mills, NJ has offered several over the past few years. Last year, they offered a pieced BOM in pastel fabrics. There was a 12.5 inch block for each month. Everyone finished their quilts differently and all are amazing. Here, Kat finished the blocks with grey and deep purple fabrics, and set the blocks on point.

Patti's Chickens

Patti made some kitchen towels using the most adorable "chicken" fabric.

Check out the close ups of these chickens. Don't they crack you up?

Gail's Projects

Gail completed this snowball quilt that was started at a class the Jersey Girls took awhile back at at Stonybrook Sew & Vac. She likes it so much that she's keeping it for herself. And she should.

Next up is a black and white table assemble Gail did for her sister-in-law. She used a variety of black and white fabrics. The fabric was cut using her new Accuquilt Go Cutter and various Go dies. The assemble consists of a table runner and six place mats.

Quilts for Vets

Last year Gail, Cat & Mad made quilts that were donated to a VA center. Hopefully three lucky Veterans are getting good use out of them.

Gail's quilt is on the left. She embroidered blocks for her quilt. The middle quilt is Cat's. Cat is an excellent piecer, her work is so neat and precise. The block on the right is Mad's. She used the tumbler die from her Accuquilt Go Fabric Cutter.
